Drop-in for Drop-off Forest Friends Club

Service Description

Join us for Forest Friends Club this Fall! Children ages 3-6* are invited to join the Forest Friends Club for one or two days per week this Fall. *More important than the age, is the skill requirements; we ask that children are able to: listen and follow leader's directions; walk at least a half mile independently over uneven terrain; feed themselves independently; carry own backpack. Forest Friends Club will meet at Blackacre Farm Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30 to noon September 12 through December 8 (excluding Thanksgiving week). Club fees for drop-in: $32 per day A typical day at Forest Friends Club: 9:25 Parents drop-off 9:30 Group circles up for a welcome circle 9:45 Group hikes to the forest classroom, hangs backpacks, and plays in the forest (mud kitchen, chalk, water sensory bins, free play) 10:30 Circle back up for snack and story 10:45 More free forest play, or option to go for a hike, visit farm animals, or play games in the field 11:45 clean up area, reflection circle, sing goodbye song, hike out 12:00 parents pick-up The Club will have a maximum of 12 kids with two highly qualified leaders. These leaders are background checked, experienced, and love children and the outdoors! Our goal is for your child to LOVE coming to Forest Friends Club each week. We know they will have fun getting dirty, playing outside, meeting new friends, and learning along the way!
